Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 30 October 2015 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Of note this week was the Einstein Fellows Symposium held in Cambridge MA on Oct 27-28. Presentations were made by 32 current Fellows, covering a wide range of topics in observational and theoretical astrophysics research.

The schedule of targets for the next two weeks is shown below and includes an observation of SMC X-2, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity on Oct 1, observations of V5668 Sgr and ASASSN-15lh, which were accepted as a Targets of Opportunity on Oct 5 and 19 respectively, an observation of the Crab coordinated with HST, an observation of M28 coordinated with NRAO-GBT, an observation of SDSS J1724+3135 coordinated with ground-based observatories, and an observation of IRAS 03219+4031 coordinated with NuSTAR.
