During the last week the observing schedule was replanned to incorporate an observation of [PFH2005] 622, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity on Mar 4. Loads for the replanned schedule were uplinked on Mar 5. A portion of a scheduled observation of RCW38/IRS2 was impacted by the replan and will be rescheduled in a future week. A real-time procedure was executed on Mar 4 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer. A Chandra press release was issued on Mar 4 as a NASA press release describing observations of over 200 galaxy clusters. The new research shows how an unusual form of cosmic precipitation can affect the growth and evolution of galaxies. These results provide evidence that this precipitation can slow down star formation in galaxies with giant black holes. For details see: http://chandra.si.edu/press/15_releases/press_030415.html The schedule of targets for the next two weeks is shown below and includes an observation of GRS 1915+105, which was accepted as a Target of Opportunity on Feb 17, and an observation of SDSS J0936+0046 coordinated with ground-based observatories. |
