Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 7 November 2003 8.30am EST

The observing schedule was severely impacted last week due to the continued exceptionally high radiation levels. Loads were resumed at 10:17am EST on Nov 1 following the autonomous execution of SCS 107 on Oct 28 but were halted once more at 4:38pm EST on Nov 2. A total of 50.1Ks of science data were taken and science has not be resumed since due to continued high radiation levels. Loads are planned to resume early morning Nov 8, space weather permitting.

During the week, a number of real-time procedures were completed associated with the SCS 107 execution and maneuver loads required for attitude and momentum management. In addition, ACIS required a warm-boot following a watchdog timer reboot on Nov 2 caused by the execution of SCS 107 during an ACIS commanding sequence. The procedure completed nominally and ACIS is now properly configured to resume science.

All spacecraft subsystems continued to operate nominally.
