Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 25 April 2003 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

The IRU-1 gyro-1 current remained at ~150mA (its yellow limit) with occasional noisy behavior. The procedure and products to perform a swap to IRU-2 were approved last week by the Flight Director Board and are available in the event they are needed.

A Chandra image release of the Centaurus A Jet was made on 23 April. The composite Chandra and VLA radio image shows the inner 4,000 light years of the magnetized jet. For details see: http://chandra.harvard.edu/photo/2003/cenajet/index.html.
