During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. A real-time procedure was executed on Jul 9 to uplink a flight software patch that updates the Aspect Camera Assembly (ACA) Processor Electronics Assembly to fix a longstanding issue known as the "PEA Wrong Box" bug. In addition, the patch includes a fix for the diagnostic "alternating" pixel mode, an update to the temperature plate scale to accommodate higher temperatures, and other minor enhancements. The net results of these changes should reduce acquisition failures by about 30%. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes observations of GS1826-238, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity on Jun 30 and is coordinated with NuSTAR, and an observation of EP250702a, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time Target of Opportunity on Jul 8. |
