Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 3 August 2001 7.00am EDT

During the last week, Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Of note last week was the review and approval of the plan for handling the 2001 Fall Eclipse Season. The Season will extend from 17 Aug to 30 Aug with 6 medium Earth eclipses ranging in duration from 42 to 96 minutes. Since all the eclipses are of medium duration (40-100 min), no flight software patches are required.

Approval was given for loading the B-side OTG flight software patches to the OBC - they are expected to be uplinked next week.

The planned observations for the coming week are shown below and include two follow-up observations of the Target Of Opportunity, WZ Sge that was approved last week.
